NY/NJ Metropolitan Section Newsletter

Volume 5 Number 1

Our New Look

With the advance of Technology the Internet has become available to everyone. People can access it from home, work, school, and libraries. As a result, your Executive Committee decided that the newsletter be published on our web site with a postcard notification to all members that we have published.

In this way, members can access the newsletter and we can keep it up-to-date. By using hyperlinks (those underlined references to other pages, we are freed from the constraints of paper publication. Members can browse the edition, check old issues, and go from the newsletter to other contacts and back.

One can do that type of browsing in any website. What then is so different between the Newsletter and the rest of the Website. Basically, the Newsletter is an archive (we keep it for a while) reference to events that normally disappear from a web site once the event is finished. The newsletter is a place where all members can express opinions about the Section by sending e-mail to the Editor by clicking on the link at the left. The newsletter also allows us to publish articles that are vetted by our publications committee. It is also a place for congratulating those Section members who have achieved distinction in our profession.

This is a work in progress. we welcome feedback, good or bad, that will help make the Newsletter more useable to the membership. Please e-mail your comments, suggestions, and/or contributions to the Editor.
