Walter Young Scholarship

The NY/NJ Metropolitan Section manages the Walter Young Scholarship to encourage and support the application of quality concepts and methodology in all professional fields through a college scholarship award program. Students who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to complete and submit the application materials detailed in the scholarship application form. This scholarship is open to current members of ASQ 0300 NY/NJ Metropolitan Section and/or their spouse, children, stepchildren, and/or grandchildren, excluding current ASQ 0300 NY/NJ Metropolitan Section Scholarship Committee members, their spouse, children and/or stepchildren etc.

Scholarship Winners 2011

Ellis R. Ott Scholarship

Ellis R. Ott was a founding member of the NY/NJ Metropolitan Section. A scholarship in his name, the Ellis R. Ott Scholarship for Applied Statistics and Quality Management has similar requirement. The Statistics Division of the ASQAdministers this scholarship. This Scholarship is for a recipient who must be a student and who is planning to enroll or is currently enrolled in a masters degree or higher level US or Canadian program that has a concentration in applied statistics and/or quality management.
