Goal of the workshop:

This workshop focuses on supply chain operations and how one does business in China today. Those attending the workshop will learn how one controls quality in China and the challenges and problems associated with this. They will learn how American customers should manage their purchases from China to ensure good quality.  Those attending will learn how Mr. Lin's work helps to maintain the upstream supply chain in China, to ensure high quality production and processes, and to see to it that the delivered products and services satisfy customer needs.

Austin S. Lin serves in the Supplier Quality Assurance group at Duracell's global headquarters in Bethel, Connecticut, where he manages projects for outsourced product suppliers in Asia.  Within Duracell, Austin has developed and conducted training courses in InfinityQS SPC software widely throughout Duracell locations in the US and in China. He also conducts SPC training courses as part of the company’s internal six sigma black belt program, held in conjunction with Michigan-based Integral Concepts, Inc. 

Austin is certified as a Quality Engineer (CQE) and Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) by the American Society for Quality.  He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
