Dr. Frank Werner

Dr. Werner is an associate professor of Finance in Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Previously, he taught at Polytechnic Institute of NY, Rutgers University, and Baruch College CUNY. His research specialty is in the Goal of the Firm Quality in Finance Sustainable Finance.

Among his many honors and awards are that of recipient, National Merit Scholarship; recipient, New York State Regents Scholarship; recipient, Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation Scholarship; Dean's List. Columbia University; recipient, John M. Chapman Fellowship; recipient, Emory Foundation Fellowship; recipient, Doctoral Study Awards; Dean's list every term. At Fordham University he was the first recipient of the Gladys and Henry Crown Award for Faculty Excellence (May 1985). He was also the recipient of Fordham College of Business Administration’s outstanding teacher award.

His business experience was as Assistant to VP/Finance, Grumman Data Systems Corp and as a consultant to Citigroup; Con Edison; International Air Transport Association; JP Morgan Chase, Lazard Frères, and the Swiss Bank Corp.

Among Dr. Werner’s recent publication are Modern Financial Managing–Continuity and Change (coauthored with Jim Stoner), Fundamentals of Financial Managing (also coauthored with Jim Stoner), 5 research books on the impact of changing management systems on financial activities (with Jim Stoner), and Author of chapters in books on airline finance and quality management (several with Jim Stoner).

Dr. Werner holds degrees from Harvard University (BA, MBA) and Columbia University (MPhil, PhD)
